Board members

President

Shayla Talbert is a Winter Haven native, born and raised in the community she is proud to call home. She is the mom of two Pinewood Panthers, Preston (3rd) and Treston (2nd). She is excited to serve Pinewood as PTO President after previously serving as a PTA President in Tampa, FL. 

With more than 15 years of experience in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, school admin, and curriculum writer/creator, Shayla has a strong passion for supporting students, teachers, and families. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time traveling all over the world and with her family at their family ranch. She looks forward to helping build a PTO where every Pinewood family feels welcomed, connected, and encouraged to get involved.

Vice President

Tula Clough is proud to serve as Vice President of the Pinewood Elementary PTO and is passionate about giving back to the children, families, and community she calls home.

Born and raised in Florida, Tula has dedicated herself to serving others in many ways. She currently serves as President of the Lake Wales American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71 and is an active member of the All Veterans Center, supporting local veterans and their families. In addition to her community involvement, Tula’s greatest priority is her family. She is a dedicated homeschooling mother to her son, Owen, who is a dual-enrolled junior, while also supporting her daughter, Liberty, who is a proud fourth-grade student at Pinewood Elementary.

She believes that strong schools are built through strong families, dedicated educators, and an involved community. She is excited to bring her passion for service, family, and community involvement to the Pinewood Elementary PTO and looks forward to helping make Pinewood an even better place for every student. 

Secretary

Caitlin is excited to serve as Secretary of the Pinewood PTO Board. Her daughter is in third grade, and her family recently moved to the Winter Haven area. Supporting students and teachers is especially important to Caitlin, as she grew up surrounded by family members who work in education and witnessed firsthand the positive impact they make. 

Professionally, she operates a financial practice where she helps individuals and families plan for their financial futures. Caitlin is grateful for the opportunity to support Pinewood, connect with other families, and become part of this wonderful school community. She looks forward to a great year!
